BAFA Magazine: Asking for Magazine name & Creative writing for publication

 

Dear Community members,

 

We are thrilled to announce that BAFA will be publishing its first Magazine. As a small community organization since the inception of BAFA (2015), we achieved many milestones because of your tremendous support and active participation. Our members and community members are the driving force behind every success story of BAFA.

 

As you know, a great magazine comes with a unique name and contents. Today we are reaching out for your suggestion to nominate a "Title of the BAFA's First Magazine." The best Magazine name will be selected from collected titles by an independent "Magazine Name Search & Contents Review Committee." The winner will receive a $100 check.

 

Requirements to participate in the Name Selection of the BAFA Magazine: 

 

  • The Magazine name should reflect BAFA's objectives. (http://www.nybafa.org)

  • The Magazine name should not be more than ten (10) letters.

  • It could be any Bengali word that should be known in English. For example, Ghuri/kite.

  • One person could submit no more than three (3) names.

  •  Be creative with the name(s); we will strictly follow copyright policy in the selection process.

  • Name(s) must be submitted by the deadline: July 30, 2022

  • Magazine's name(s) submission must be made using this link: The Magazine Name Submission Form.

 

 

In addition, we are collecting creative writings, poems, motivational essays, and short stories of individual achievements, for example, college admission, excellent results in standardized tests, how I got hired in a prestigious job, etc. We encourage children above age 15 and all adults to participate. 

 

Requirements for writing:

 

  • Word limitation 2-3 pages, may be concise after an edit to fit the page on publication

  • Writing could be in English or Bengali

  • No plagiarism

  • Submission Deadline: Aug 31, 2022

  • Submit your article via email at Admin@nybafa.org

 

Rules and Policies:

 

An independent board (Magazine Name Search & Contents Review Committee) will review the contents, verify sources, and select accordingly. Keep in mind that only selected articles will be published.
